Sensible Drinking Awareness

The Sensible Drinking Alcohol Service (SDAS)  is a specific service commissioned to do alcohol awareness and prevention for the general population in Camden. The vision is to work with identified target groups each year, based on local research which identify people most at risk of developing alcohol issues or who are currently not engaging in alcohol services.  A key principle is to engage with people in a range of environments who may not currently have alcohol issues, but could benefit from increased knowledge and health information.

The target groups for 2015/16 are :

  • Elderly
  • Young People
  • Black Men
  • Women

We are undertaking a range of activities to work with these groups including :

  • Attending community events/ stalls
  • Delivering training for key staff in various services
  • Developing innovative resources and approaches to providing alcohol information
